in Irvine, California is seeking a Substitute Educational
Specialist to provide home instruction for a Deaf and Hard of
Hearing (DHH) student. This contract position runs from April 6th
through June 5th, requiring 15 hours per week (3 hours daily,
Monday through Friday) at a single location. Responsibilities
include delivering tailored instruction in consultation with the
Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) DHH Program Teacher.
You will follow provided curriculum and assignments designed to
meet the students educational needs. The students parent and
district-provided ASL interpreter will be present during sessions,
with the interpreter facilitating communication. Candidates should
have experience teaching or tutoring students with disabilities,
specifically those who are deaf or hard of hearing. While Special
Education certification is preferred, it is not required.
Familiarity with adapting instruction in collaboration with ASL
interpretation is essential to support the student's learning
