Job Description:
Title: Systems Engineer III Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid) –
up to 10% domestic travel may be required, based on business needs
Note: This is a W2 contract role, and it is NOT open to C2C or 3 rd
party candidates The Systems Engineer is responsible for using
their broad technical expertise, leadership skills, and product
development knowledge to provide systems leadership through various
phases of product lifecycle. System Engineering translates the
voice of customer and stakeholder needs into system and product
requirements, identifies potential hazards, and assesses
requirements to ensure that the product meets the user/business
needs, as well as developing design and process specifications for
new hardware and software products, aiding in product verification
and validation, and providing support in sustaining activities. The
expectation for the Systems Engineer is that they regularly serve
on smaller project core teams, act as a leader of technical
excellence, and participate as an agent for continuous improvement
within the Systems Engineering function. As such, they are expected
to help identify tasks/resources to ensure that critical project
milestones are met and systems integration activities are
identified and fulfilled. Position Qualifications: 5 years of
related work experience with Systems Engineering and requirements
management Astrong technical background within Systems Engineering,
medical device development, or a similar field Working knowledge of
the product development lifecycle Ability to facilitate
cross-functional knowledge and experiences to promote
theunderstanding and resolution of in-market and product
development issues Experience coordinating system-level product
development and its integration, as well as experience serving as a
resource to examine system behavior issues and bring to resolution
for on-market products Familiarity with systems integration and
testing, system architectural planning and design, Reliability
Engineering, Project Management, and Failure Modes Effects
Analysis, including the ability to lead system/product-level
feasibility and risks assessments Ability to identify opportunities
and drive continuous improvement efforts Ability to apply DFSS best
practices on all projects, including DFSS, statistical test design
and analysis, or Critical Parameter Management knowledge/experience
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, including
the ability to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams Excellent
communication skills, including interdepartmental (with fellow
engineers) and cross-functional (with Marketing, Clinical
Representatives, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and Quality
Engineers) Strongattention to detail paramount, including the
ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
projects/efforts Strongwriting skills Experience working within an
Agile environment preferred A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field; Master's Degree
in a relevant field preferred Note: This is a W2 contract role, and
