Technician for a travel job in Beverly Hills, California. Job

Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Orthopedic Tech This position
does NOT include surgeries. It is primarily outpatient procedures
and casting. Please read job duties below REQUIRED: OTC from NBCOT
required, must be obtained within 6 months of the start date
HSD/GED 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting Proficiency
in plaster and fiberglass casting and splinting Preferred:
Registered Ortho Tech (ASOP) 50 miles radius rule (MJ) Medical &

etc. HCRR Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)/n/nJob Duties:/n1. Apply and
remove a variety of splints, plaster, and fiberglass casts, and
request x-rays as indicated under the direction of a physician/n2.
Perform special procedures like windowing and wedging, and assist
in complex procedures like pin removal and application of
traction./n3. Responsible for inventory, ordering, and receiving of
all casting supplies and equipment./n4. Set up exam and procedure
room based on patient visit needs./n5. Positions the patient for
the procedure and notes the degree of discomfort experienced by the
patient. Explains procedure to patient using clinical or
administrative knowledge, based on scope of practice./n6. Instruct
patient in cast care, wound care, swelling, and how to remove and
apply splints./n7. Set up and prepare injectable trays and
medications as per provider orders. Record information in medical
