Job Description:
P osition Purpose: Directly works with Program Manager –
Information Technology (IT) in support of JWCH staff. Principal
Responsibilities: 1. Receives, evaluates, prioritizes and provides
first level support for incoming requests for assistance from JWCH
users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking,
and other related problems. 2. Queries user to collect information
about problem and lead user to through basic diagnostic procedures
to determine source of error. 3. Provides support in PC set-up and
configuration, troubleshooting, software installation and
configuration, printer troubleshooting, and basic network issues.
4. Accurately records problem information on system and monitors
progress of incidents. Documents each interaction or attempted
interaction with user. 5. Reviews and monitors technical
documentation, licensing, and upgrades. 6. Assists with Program
Manager with more complex projects. 7. Assists the Program Manager
with asset management, network support, connectivity, telecom,
project management, cellular telephones, PDAs, and procurement. 8.
Configures and troubleshoots problems related to multifunctional
office devices such as fax machines, photocopiers, scanners,
postage machine, cellular telephones, and PDAs. 9. Requires travel
from site to site and light lifting. 10. Adhere to all
organizational safety policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and
visitors. 11. Participate in required safety and compliance
trainings and apply learned practices in daily work activities. 12.
Identify, report, and help mitigate unsafe conditions, incidents,
or hazards in the workplace. 13. Use equipment, tools, and supplies
safely and responsibly in accordance with organizational and
regulatory standards. 14. Maintain awareness of infection control,
occupational health, and emergency preparedness procedures
appropriate to the role. 15. Thank you for your attention to this
important update 16. Participate in JWCH’s customer service
training called AIDET on an annual basis. a. Demonstrate an
understanding of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration,
Explanation, and Thank You) to apply in patient encounters or team
discussions. b. Utilize the AIDET communication framework to
communicate with patients and team members in a manner that reduces
patient anxiety, increases patient compliance, and improves
clinical outcomes. 17. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Associate Degree in related field or equivalent
experience as an IT Assistant or IT Technician. Must be able to
drive in the State of California. Proficient in MS Office Suite
Applications. Experience working with LAN/WAN connectivity issues,
x86 hardware problems, cellular telephone and PDAs preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
and with individuals form diverse backgrounds, disciplines and
levels of technical experience. Good organizational skills and
ability to prioritize work. Experience with A preferred. Wesley
