A real estate law firm is looking for a litigation attorney who has the desire to learn all aspects of real estate law and civil litigation. The attorney must work with our highly skilled support team while directing procedures and managing a caseload of small and large cases. Within the area of real estate law, subject matter can be as distinct as clientele, including business investment disputes as well as household consumer issues, discrimination disputes, and landlord-tenant disputes (landlord side only).



The attorney must have a strong commitment to learning and achievement. The attorney must also have a strong commitment to protecting the value of real estate investments. We work with landlords, homeowners, real estate professionals, and professional fiduciaries. Our attorneys must be knowledgeable about real estate fraud litigation, buyer-seller disputes, quiet title litigation, boundary line disputes, unlawful detainer litigation, and mortgage transactions.



We expect thorough knowledge, or willingness to develop, an understanding of civil procedures, the ability to make court appearances in person and virtually, and taking depositions in person and virtually. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals, to write winning legal briefs, and to aggressively pursue the clients' best interests is highly valued. Responsibilities:

--- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
--- Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration
--- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
--- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses


Qualifications:

--- Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
--- Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
--- Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
--- At least five years of experience as an attorney handling civil litigation cases.
