Job Description:
ResponsibilitiesNoblis is hiring a Training Specialist in San
Diego, CA to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia
Division (NSWCPD) Code 311. You will be joining a team responsible
for assisting PMS 339 with Hull Mechanical and Electrical
(HM&E) Training development and conducting interim training for
DDG New Acquisition, DDG Modernization, and CG Modernization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support CG 47, and DDG 51 HM&E modernization (MOD)
programs, including new construction DDG training events and system
refresher training at various Naval Stations worldwide.
Instructional support may expand to include FFG(X) or other
emerging programs.
- Develop and revise curriculums, agendas, engineering team
drills, walkthroughs, certifications, and technical services
related to the design and development of HM&E upgrades or
modernization for surface ship classes like CG 47 and DDG 51.
- Oversee independently the crew present at training events,
teaching and answering questions about the curriculum.
- Support training events, which may require working up to twelve
hours a day depending on the schedule.Required
QualificationsBachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience
onboard naval ships/vessels or supporting HM&E activities.
Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 6 years of relevant
experience or a High School diploma with 9 years of experience.
- Experience conducting DDG New Construction and Modernization
Training Events, as well as other technical training at various
locations including the Machinery Control System classroom,
shipyard, and Land Based Engineering Sites.
- Experience in developing, reviewing, and revising curriculums
supporting watch stander training, certifications, and
qualifications.
- US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
an interim Secret Clearance before starting.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, perform CPR, stand, walk for
long periods, and navigate spaces similar to Navy vessels.
- Willingness to travel 20-50% of the time.Desired Qualifications
- Five years of experience as a Navy instructor and Gas Turbine
Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) qualification.
- Certified Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS).
- Ten years of shipboard Gas Turbine Systems Technician
Mechanical/Electrical (GSM/GSE) experience.
- Experience with DDG Post-Modernization or New Construction
Machinery Controls System (MCS).
- Experience in instructional design for the U.S. Navy
Interactive Learning Environment (ILE) and media production
techniques.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to senior
stakeholders via verbal and written methods.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects, with experience
working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new
software.
- Experience updating student records in the CETARS
database.
- Serve as Safety Observers during hot plant

The salary range for full-time roles is USD $63,600.00 - USD
$99,450.00 per year, adjusted for part-time or on-call roles.
