The Electrical Apprentice will be a contributing member of a larger organization focused on the engagement and delivery of systems and solutions focused on energy efficiency and optimization of commercial and industrial facilities.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform/Support work alongside experienced electricians, assisting them with various tasks such as installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.Strictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Operate a variety of hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.Some knowledge electrical theory, blueprint reading, and the National Electric Code (NEC) to understand the technical aspects of the trade.Some knowledge in installation/repair of building automation system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, including landing of such equipment to BAS panel components.Some knowledge of installation/repair of mechanical equipment such as air handlers, chillers, ducting, dampers etc. (Preferred)Installation of electrical materials/equipment such as wire, conduit etc.Maintain records of work activities, such as materials used, work completed, and any changes made to electrical systems.Willing to support lead journeyman electrician with Analysis, Reports, MOP Sign off on work performed at job sites. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.Maintain accurate and detailed hour log of service and project time.Job Requirements / QualificationsSome knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems focused on energy savings potential.1 - 3 years of experience in electrical trade.High school Diploma or Equivalent.Able to pass drug screening and background check.Demonstrated safety training/education preferred. OSHA 10 card preferred.California Driver's license.
